Mepco Label Systems, a Lodi, CA manufacturer of pressure sensitive labels, flexible packaging and shrink sleeves, has expanded its capabilities and production with a new Nilpeter FB 4200 8-color servo press with UV and hot air drying. With the addition, Mepco now has 13 flexo presses and one digital press.
“Moving to our new location a 174,000 square foot facility on 15 acres in December of 2012 gave us the space needed to add new pressed and shrink sleeve converting equipment, which was added in November 2013,” explains Jennifer Tracy, president of Mepco Label Systems. “Adding the new press will allow us to continue increasing sales while providing quick turnaround times to our customers. In addition this press will help our expansion into the cosmetic, wine and specialty food label markets, and increase capacity for the laminated film and paper pouch market.”
With the new press delivering maximum efficiency with low production cost, combined with servo technology, Mepco Label Systems will be able to continue providing high quality products at a competitive price, adds Tracy.
